Cafés Gonéo Coffee beans - Pure origin Honduras Montecillos - 250g

Let yourself be tempted by this pure Honduran Montecillos coffee. It is cultivated in the Marcala region, between 1200 and 1700 metres above sea level and harvested between December and February.
This coffee is the result of the work of several producers who are partners of COMSA (Café Organico Marcala).  A cooperative that supports its producers who want to implement a more environmentally friendly agriculture

Together, the cooperative and the farms have been working for more than 20 years to move from conventional to organic farming around very strong environmental values.

Score 83/100

More about the cooperative

The 700 or so producers who make up this society receive and regularly give courses in coffee and organic/biodynamic farming. The cooperative also subsidises the education of the children of the community in order to perpetuate this knowledge and approach for future generations.

Le Honey process

This fermentation process does not require any water for its realization and it is quite economical to implement. With water becoming a scarce commodity, more and more producers are turning to these ecological alternatives. The cup profile will be rather sweet, textured and fruity with a controlled acidity

The Cafés Gonéo Roast

Cafés Gonéo offers you specific roasting profiles according to the nature of each green bean. Each coffee is roasted independently of the others and only then is the blend made. The aim is to make the most of the potential and aromatic intensity of each terroir.
Cafés Gonéo wants to communicate this understanding of the product to everyone in order to guarantee the best possible coffee tasting experience.

The Brand's Commitments

In September 2020, Cafés Gonéo launched low environmental impact packaging for its professional range: KG bags of coffee beans that can be recycled once the label has been removed.

For the specialised range of Cafés Gonéo, the brand has turned to 100recyclable materials: 250g metal tins, 500g refills and aluminium Nespresso ® compatible capsules.

Giving a second life to your 250g tin is possible thanks to its lid, which can be used to store all sorts of products.

The brand collaborates with ECOVALIM, a company based in Lyon that specialises in the collection, transformation and recovery of food waste.

MaxiCoffee is pleased to offer you these products. You can find our entire range of Gonéo coffees here!
