Using the 3-cup Chemex Coffee Maker

The Chemex uses specific Chemex paper filters to be placed on top of the coffee maker.

To brew a successful Chemex coffee, don't forget:

A freshly ground coffee to enjoy all the flavours.

A gooseneck kettle to eavenly pour your water over the ground coffee.

A coffee scale with a stopwatch to measure the amount of water poured and the brewing time.

Note: remember to adapt your recipe according to the coffee/water ratio used.

The Chemex coffee maker was invented in 1941 by Dr Peter Schlumbohm PhD. As a permanent exhibition piece at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and other museums, Chemex is a true work of art. This is where their coffee makers, filters, kettles and accessories are made before being distributed across the globe.
