The CERAPOTTA ceramic coffee filter is made using traditional Japanese techniques. This coffee filter is crafted from Hasami porcelain, a type of ceramic with a 400-year history in Nagasaki Prefecture, using technology from porous ceramic manufacturing.

Thanks to its microporous structure (5micrometres wide), it acts as an extremely fine filter coffee, retaining impurities while preserving the water's delicate flavours. The coffee can be filtered to produce deep or light flavours depending on the pouring technique.

The Cerapotta ceramic coffee filter preserves the spirit of the natural filtration process. It removes unwanted impurities but extracts the flavour of the beans, including the oils that give the coffee its rich aroma and depth.

The Cerapotta reusable coffee filter has a built-in measuring system that provides advice on how much coffee to brew. Its funnel shape provides optimum quality for tasty coffees by creating a rain-like effect for a soothing moment.

Brewing with your Cerapotta filter: Pour hot water upstream to rinse and heat the filter coffee. This ceramic filter coffee can be used again and again, creating less waste than single-use paper filters. Cerapotta also recycles surplus materials at the production stage, further reducing its environmental impact.

Because Cerapotta uses a unique porous ceramic, it is important to properly clean the filter after each use. No one wants rancid coffee so it is essential to make sure that your coffee filter is clean and unclogged.

How to thoroughly clean your filter: Submerge the filter in water and boil for approximately 10 minutes. A microwave can also be used by submerging the filter fully and microwaving for approximately 5 minutes on 500W.

Two tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate for a litre of water can be used for more effective cleaning.

After cleaning, rinse the filter and leave it in a dry environment to air dry.
