To kick off the Christmas season, we present the delicious mini-panettone with limoncello. Limoncello is a lemon liqueur originally from Italy. In its country of origin, it is drunk as an aperitif or digestif, depending on personal preference. It's also an alcohol found in a variety of pastries, including this delicious 100g mini-panettone from Vergani. In this recipe, the limoncello is spiced up with candied lemon zest, making this a cake that will appeal to those who love tangy citrus fruits and digestif-based desserts.
Ingredients: wheat flour, fresh egg whites, butter, sugar, natural yeast (wheat flour, water), fresh pasteurised whole milk, candied lemon zest paste (2%) (lemon peel, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar), emulsifiers: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, limoncello syrup (0.5%) (water, sugar, alcohol, limoncello liqueur, lemon peel herbal tea, lemon juice, flavourings), salt, brewer's yeast, natural flavouring.
