Gigesa is a blend of several Heirloom varieties, all from one of Ethiopia's most attractive regions, Guji.

With its dense vegetation, high altitude and rich soil, Ethiopia lends an elegant dimension to these coffee beans.

Indeed, with ripe peach as the main note, this coffee gives the sensation of finding a juicy, sweet fruit on tasting. Notes of dried apricot, elderflower and berries are also pleasant. The silkiness of the honey is clearly present on the palate, leaving a smooth finish. Ideal for espresso.

About the Gigesa Farm

Gigesa is a farm created in 2014 and managed by Faysel Adham Yonis.

Far from ignoring the impact of coffee processing on the end result, this coffee producer strives to preserve all the unique qualities of Ethiopian coffees.

Guji, the farm's home, is a prime location for coffee growing in Ethiopia. With a rich forest zone, coffee gardens are commonplace there. They grow at high altitude, on rich soils, and produce quality coffees.

The cherries are sorted by hand and immersed in water to ferment for 36 to 48 hours.  The coffee beans are then dried on beds for between 5 and 15 days, depending on the weather.
