Premium matcha is a high-quality matcha, made from the youngest tea shoots and leaves. It is recognised by its rich, velvety taste, vibrant green colour, and low bitterness on the palate. In terms of quality, it sits between a classic matcha and a ceremonial matcha (the highest possible grade). How To Enjoy Your Anatae Premium Matcha
The beauty of premium matcha lies in its versatility — it can be enjoyed in a variety of ways:
- Traditionally (for a traditional matcha, use 1g of matcha per serving, add 70 ml of water at 70–75°C, then whisk vigorously with a chasen),
- As a matcha latte (simply add your favourite milk to the prepared matcha; oat milk pairs beautifully with this Anatae matcha),
- In iced drinks, smoothies, or even as an ingredient in baking.
The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
