Terra Etica Decaffeinated Ethiopia organic coffee beans combine rich aroma with caffeine-free pleasure. Originating in the Moka Sidamo region, these coffees come from cooperatives located at altitudes of up to 2000 m, guaranteeing exceptional quality. Decaffeinated without solvents, it retains all its rich aroma, with tangy flavours and floral notes of jasmine. Certified organic and fairtrade (Max Havelaar label), it comes in 500g packs.

Superior Coffee: These are coffees that contain no more than 20% Robusta, whose country of origin we know and/or which have a label (organic farming, fair trade, etc.)

Organic Coffee Beans From the Sidamo Region in Ethiopia

This solvent-free organic decaffeinated coffee, decaffeinated only with water,puts an end to caffeine intolerance and excess. The flavours remain intact, highlighting the terroir of origin of these coffees. Terra Etica has selected beans grown organically in Moka Sidama in Ethiopia, a region renowned for the quality of its coffees.
The French brand has worked with a number of local cooperatives, such as Homa Layo Taraga and Damota Wolayta Union, which grow various varieties of coffee. The cherries are picked when ripe and processed according to the natural method, ensuring optimum quality.
Once harvested, the beans are roasted in Gironde by Terra Etica. The brand opts for a slow roasting process that respects each origin, bringing out the natural aromatic richness of the coffee.
The result lives up to expectations for an Ethiopian coffee: a cup marked by pleasant acidity and notes of elderberries and jasmine. These coffees have a long, balanced mouthfeel, and can be enjoyed as an espresso or a filter coffee.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
