Effective Cleaning Tablets for your Machine
Extend the life of your espresso machine by using these Saeco brand cleaning tablets. They are specially designed to effectively remove oil and coffee residues from your preparation unit and thus preserve the aroma and taste of your coffee on a daily basis.
Thanks to these tablets, you can extend the lifespan of your machine, and it will repay you by always providing you with delicious, great-tasting drinks!
To guarantee optimal performance in the long term, it is recommended that you clean your machine every month or every 500 cups.

Coffee/espresso machines with a compartment for ground coffee:
- Place a cup under the coffee spout. Fill the reservoir with clean water.
- Place a cleaning tablet in the ground coffee compartment and press the coffee-grind button.
- Press the preparation button to start the preparation cycle. When half a cup has been prepared, press the on/off button to turn the machine off.
- Leave the degreasing solution to act for at least 15 minutes.
- Empty the cup. Turn on the machine and finish the cycle. Empty the cup again.
- Remove the group head and rinse it thoroughly under the tap.
- Reinsert the group head and place a cup under the spout.
- Press the coffee button twice to allow the machine to perform two preparation cycles without ground coffee. Empty the cup.
- To clean the drip tray, place a cleaning tablet in it and fill it with warm water up to two-thirds of its capacity. Leave the cleaning solution to act for at least 30 minutes. Then rinse the drip tray thoroughly under the tap.
- Your machine is now clean and ready for use.
Coffee/espresso machines without a ground coffee compartment:
- Place a cleaning tablet in a cup and fill the cup with hot water. Wait until the tablet has completely dissolved.
- Remove the group head and clean the filters and the drainage channel with the degreasing solution. If necessary, use a small sponge or a small brush.
- Leave the degreasing solution to act for at least 15 minutes.
- Rinse the group head thoroughly under the tap, then reinsert it.
- To clean the drip tray, place a cleaning tablet in it and fill it with warm water until it is two-thirds full. Leave the cleaning solution to work for at least 30 minutes. Then rinse the drip tray thoroughly with tap water.
- Your machine is now ready to use.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
