Traditional Coffee : These are the most widespread coffees in the various distribution channels in France, both private and professional.
Classic Coffee : There is generally a lack of information about the traceability of these coffees. They are often mass-market products and are easily accessible. The composition of these coffees can vary from 100% Arabica to over 20% Robusta.
The higher the rating, the more surprising your coffee tasting experience will be.

The Cremoso, Bar, and Purissima coffee beans will give you a complete coffee experience. Each one is roasted in France with a different level of intensity. You’ll enjoy the varied bitterness that develops during extraction. We recommend starting with Purissima, then Cremoso, and finishing with the strong and authentic Bar.
250g Bar Coffee Beans: Both spicy and indulgent, Perléo Espresso Bar satisfies all espresso purists with its very dark roast. It resembles a powerful bar-style espresso, offering a bold and intense cup. Ideal as a ristretto for a rich, concentrated extraction that highlights the coffee’s pleasant bitterness.
250g Cremoso Coffee Beans: Loved for its gourmet yet woody character. Thanks to its robusta content, you’ll get a powerful cup with a structured body and creamy texture. A long espresso with notes of beechwood, molasses, and cocoa.
Perleo Espresso offers Italian-style roasted coffees for all lovers of intense aromas. Their coffee beans are selected for the richness of their aromatic potential and for the care the producers show to their crops. The green coffee beans are then entrusted to Perleo Espresso master roasters who work with delicacy and precision, following traditional methods. Perleo Espresso is above all a story of passionate women and men.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
