- Learn More About The Natural Decaffeination Process -

The so-called natural decaffeination method uses only water and carbon dioxide (CO2).

The steam pressure stage is similar to the one used in chemical decaffeination , but afterwards, the green coffee is immersed in water and carbon dioxide is circulated under high pressure.

The CO2 then naturally dissolves the caffeine present in the coffee beans. However, removing the caffeine can also cause the coffee to lose some of its aroma. To prevent this, the liquid is saturated with the water-soluble compounds found in coffee. The caffeine is then removed using activated charcoal.

The advantages of this method? No chemical products that are harmful to health are used, the aromas are better preserved, and the decaffeinated extract is recycled!
