An Ergonomic and Very Efficient Espresso Grinder
With its unique design and the know-how of the Kinu brand, the M47 range is recognized in the coffee world as a safe bet for obtaining a fine and homogeneous espresso grind.
The Kinu M47 Simplicity manual coffee grinder is, as its name suggests, easier to use than its big brother, the M47 Phoenix. It has the same main characteristics as its big brother, the 47 mm conical burrs made of reinforced steel with a specific treatment, Black Fusion. This treatment ensures a much higher than average longevity, as well as a speed of grinding, without too much effort.
In addition, the M47 Simplicity's rotating shaft is reinforced to ensure consistent movement and longer life.
The M47 Simplicity is made of high quality stainless steel. The solid ABS parts are guaranteed BPA free (grinding container, thumb wedge and crank handle). The internal mechanism is also made of stainless steel.
The addition of the thumb rest provides extra comfort when grinding coffee beans compared to the M47 Phoenix.

The Kinu M47 Simplicity: for a Precise and Consistent Grind
Grinding accuracy is closely related to the micrometer setting. One turn of the adjustment corresponds to approximately 50 notches (0.01 mm), which ensures a formidable precision. In addition, to optimize grinding precision, the mechanism is designed around a high-precision shaft and four ball bearings (two for the shaft and two for the crank), for precise and effortless grinding.
Kinu also informs that it takes approximately 30 to 40 seconds to grind 18 grams of espresso grind, which is a record time!
Other Characteristics of the M47 Simplicity Coffee Grinder
The bean section is filled from the top of the grinder body, without disassembly.
The container can hold up to 40g of ground coffee. It is equipped with a silicone seal to stay in place during grinding.
As for the crank, the shape is well studied to allow an easy and natural rotation. The axis being linked to ball bearings, the grinding is done easily without needing to force too much.
Moreover, the Kinu M47 Simplicity is delivered in its EVA case, so you can transport your coffee grinder without damaging it.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
