How to choose my coffee’s aromatic group?

Traditional Coffee - Superior

Score < 80

Traditional Coffee: These are the most widespread coffees in the various distribution channels in France, both private and professional.

Superior Coffee: These are coffees that contain no more than 20% Robusta, whose country of origin we know and/or which have a label (organic farming, fair trade, etc.)

The higher the rating, the more surprising your coffee tasting experience will be.

Brazil Mogiana Coffee: A Committed Single-Origin Arabica

Originating from the State of São Paulo in Brazil, Brazil Alisios coffee beans are grown in the Mogiana region, one of the country’s historic heartlands of coffee production, by the Serra do Ciganos cooperative.

The region takes its name from the Companhia Mogiana de Estradas de Ferro, the railway company that built the famous “coffee railway” in 1883. This network played a vital role in the development of Brazilian coffee, facilitating transport to export ports.

Nestled between the Atlantic Rainforest and the Brazilian Cerrado, Mogiana benefits from rolling hills and remarkable climatic diversity. The contrast between humid zones and drier plains creates a unique environment for coffee trees. Abundant sunshine boosts leaf photosynthesis – the plant’s natural solar panels – supporting the slow, aromatic development of the beans.

This single-origin Mogiana Arabica is celebrated for its natural balance and aromatic depth. It is also FCCO certified (Fresh Coffee Clean Ocean), a guarantee of quality and commitment to low-impact production that respects ecosystems and coffee-growing communities.

Anemos sailing cargo ship transporting sustainable Brazil Alisios Green Lion Coffee

Green Lion Coffee: Sustainable Sailing Transport

This sustainably sourced coffee, labelled Fresh Coffee Clean Ocean, is transported by sail aboard the Anemos cargo sailboat operated by TOWT. Powered solely by wind, it crosses the Atlantic without fossil fuels, offering a cleaner alternative to conventional maritime transport.

This responsible shipping method reduces CO2 emissions by 75% – a strong commitment to low-impact coffee. Unlike noisy, polluting container ships, sailing transport limits noise pollution, helping to protect marine wildlife.

By choosing renewable energy, this eco-conscious coffee avoids dependence on oil and large shipping corporations. It reflects a conscious choice: to produce and enjoy coffee that respects the planet at every stage of its journey.

The sailing route connects the Brazilian coast to the port of Le Havre. It embodies a different vision of trade – slower, yet fairer. An committed coffee where every cup carries meaning, enriched by time, effort and conviction.
