The Fellow Stagg X Dripper allows you to obtain a richly aromatic filtered coffee thanks to a Slow Coffee preparation (slow filtration).
The Stagg X is a stainless steel dripper, with an internal design for coffee filtration without obstruction and optimal extraction.
Fellow provides 30 size X paper filters to start your caffeine adventure.
Infuse your coffee directly into the glass that accompanies the Stagg X dripper.
This glass is hand-blown from borosilicate. It has a flared rim to allow you to appreciate the full spectrum of coffee aromas.
How to use the Fellow Stagg X dripper
The Stagg X works exactly like a standard dripper, but its different shape and double-walled stainless steel design promise better heat retention and more consistent extraction.
A small receptacle is included to place your dripper after extraction and keep your workspace clean.
Inside this receptacle, you will find markings that are ratio aids to use for making your coffee.
Heat 300 ml (300 g) of water in your kettle to 91-93 °C and take 20 g of freshly ground coffee beans (medium grind). You can use the single point on the small receptacle to estimate 20 g of coffee.
Place the dripper on the glass and put the paper filter in the dripper. Pour hot water over the filter to moisten it.
Pour your ground coffee into the filter and shake it lightly to even it out.
Begin pouring hot water into the center of the dripper, progressing towards the sides. Pour approximately 40 grams of water, about 2 times the amount of coffee you're using.
Wait 30 seconds for pre-infusion.
Continue pouring water evenly from the center, outward, in a circular motion. The pour should take an additional 2.30 to 3 minutes.
Stop once the coffee level reaches the line on the glass. Place the dripper on the small receptacle to catch any drips and enjoy your coffee.
Usage Tips
You can place the glass and dripper in the top rack of your dishwasher.
The glass is not microwave-safe. Do not place it on a stove or hot plate either.
Using a metal spoon in the glass can break the inner wall.
The dripper is to be used with X filters (30 are provided to start).
It is recommended to use a kettle with adjustable temperature to respect all the aromas of freshly ground coffee beans.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
