The Neapolitan coffee maker was invented in Naples and inspired by the first filter coffee machine made in 1691 by Du Belloy. The name of the inventor of the Neapolitan coffee maker remains unknown to this day.
 
The Neapolitan coffee maker, called Cuccumella in Naples, produces a coffee with a light body and a full taste. For many Neapolitans, the use of this coffee maker is synonymous with family reunions and good times. 
 
Coffee spread in Naples at the end of the 18th century, thanks to the gastronome Pietro Corrado. The latter composed an ode to coffee by presenting it as the drink for good hospitality, friendship and good omen.
 

ILSA

ILSA was founded in 1946 under the company name of Industria Laminazione Stampaggio Alluminio (factory for rolling and pressing aluminum). The first ILSA-branded product to be launched was the Neapolitan coffee maker!
