The 100% Arabica coffee in these soft pods is grown at high altitude (around 1500m) in Bolivia.

This coffee will seduce you with its very fruity aroma and a light touch of acidity due to the volcanic soil in which it is grown. This mild, aromatic coffee is ideal at the end of the day.

Certified cultivation without pesticides or chemical fertilisers.

The Decafeination Process

Decaffeination requires professional, high-tech expertise. Unroasted coffee beans are rendered porous by steam treatment.

To extract the caffeine, Destination has chosen to use water and CO2 instead of solvents, thanks to the only unit in Europe using this process. CO2, a component of the air we breathe, is a powerful solvent for caffeine. It is circulated under pressure through green coffee beans immersed in water.

When the desired residual level of caffeine is reached, the circulation is stopped and the coffee is gently dried until it returns to its initial moisture content. In this way, the structure of the green, roasted beans, the flavour, the taste of the roasted coffee and the herbal tea are virtually intact.

There is absolutely no health risk, as the coffee is brought into contact with 100% pure substances: chemically inert (and completely evaporated) carbon dioxide and pure water.
