Discover the Expresso Forte recipe by Café Royal, a full-bodied coffee with notes of bitter chocolate. The Swiss roast adds character to the Arabica/Robusta blend. This coffee is the perfect accompaniment to an almond-based dessert such as a financier. The coffee comes from Rainforest agriculture, which respects biodiversity.

The Coffee Ball contains freshly roasted coffee wrapped in a natural fibre that protects the grind from oxidation. Once extracted, the Coffee Ball can be disposed of directly into your compost or used as fertiliser for your plants. You can use the Coffee Ball with Café Royal's CoffeeB machine, which is made from recycled plastic, so it's a great way to help the environment.
Café Royal is a well-known Swiss brand of coffee that manufactures a wide range of products : from Nespresso® compatible capsules to Dolce Gusto® compatible pods, as well as coffee beans, ground coffee, instant coffee and even tea.
Several of Café Royal products have been awarded: in 2014, several of the brand's Nespresso® capsules were voted Flavour of the Year.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
