Black Latte Barista by La Fabrique à Latte is a unique powdered preparation on base of activated vegetable charcoal. Its intense black colour conceals a mild, balanced drink with subtle notes of vanilla and cream.

Here is the black latte version by La Fabrique à Latte — a bold creation that combines roasted Japanese Hojicha tea, raw Criollo cacao from Peru, and activated charcoal made from coconut. The result is an intensely dark drink with a rich, rounded flavour and an indulgent depth in every sip.
Preparation Tips: Use 1 teaspoon for a 200 ml drink. Mix with hot milk and enjoy. For an iced version, combine with 40 ml of cold water, 150 ml of cold milk, and add a few ice cubes.
Ingredients: beet sugar, raw Criollo cacao, cinnamon, activated vegetable charcoal, Hojicha tea, black pepper, ginger. May contain traces of gluten, nuts, sesame, mustard, celery, and peanuts.
The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
