The Perfect Diameter

With its ultra-precise 58.6 mm diameter and flat bottom, the Teflon base of this Baristator dynamometric tamper has been designed to pack all the ground coffee in your filter basket, but also to prevent the grounds from sticking.

A traditional coffee tamper does not get close enough to the edge of your filter (and therefore causes a significant loss of ground coffee). This Baristator tamper solves this problem, thanks to its larger diameter.  

This dynamometric tamper is suitable for manual espresso machine filters with a 58mm extraction group.

The Base

Its dynamometric handle means you'll be tamping with the same precision all day long.  This will ensure you get the same extraction, no matter how hard you pack.

This Baristator dynamometric tamper is configurable: unscrew the end of the handle to adjust the pressure you want to apply.

Its shape is different from that of a conventional rectangular tamper, and this is not for looks, but once again, for efficiency.

Its diameter prevents any loss of ground coffee, but it also raises the question of air intake: whereas a conventional coffee tamper would cause the ground coffee to be lifted up by the suction cup effect, the Baristator dynamometric tamper allows the air to circulate gradually, to avoid any imbalance in air pressure.
