Espresso machine maintenance procedures vary depending on the heating system and extraction technology. If you have the slightest doubt about the heating system of your machine, please refer to the instructions for your machine and/or to the relevant product page on our site.

Machines with Thermoblock

  • If it is a leak at the filter holder, you must replace the group seal. This is a consumable that you must change regularly. Find available group seals here and tutorials to help you perform this manipulation here.
  • In any case, carry out a complete descaling of your machine, as well as a precise cleaning of the filters and filter holders with a detergent product that dissolves coffee grease. To do this, use a descaling product such as Durgol Universal scrupulously respecting the instructions for use. It will clean and descale the components of your machine. Never use white vinegar or any other substitute

"Backflushable" machines (with a 3-way solenoid valve)

  • If it is a leak at the filter holder, you must replace the group seal. This is a consumable that you must change regularly. Find available group seals here and tutorials to help you perform this manipulation here.
  • In all cases, take a blind or blind filter (filter without a hole) and group detergent (Puly Caff or Cafeto type) , and carry out a thorough cleaning of your unit, respecting the maintenance and rinsing cycle. Then clean your filters and filter holders. Here is a link that will guide you step by step to perform this cleaning.

Non-backflushable machines

  • If it is a leak at the filter holder, you must replace the group seal. This is a consumable that you must change regularly. Find available group seals here and tutorials to help you perform this manipulation here.
  • Either way, get a maintenance brush to clean the brew group, filters and filter holders.
