Specialty Coffee Beans Included In The Grand Cru Discovery Pack
A pack celebrating four exceptional Grand Cru coffee beans, all 100% Arabica, carefully selected — each offering a unique tasting escape:
- The Costa Rica Bio – La Grange comes from an organic-certified micro-lot in Costa Rica, roasted by Vincent Ballot, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2018. Expect a beautiful balance of chocolate and almond notes, lifted by bright lemony and sweet touches, enhanced by a darker roast.
- The Tambor – Le Piantagioni del Caffè is a terroir coffee grown in Guatemala on the farm of the same name. A rich and indulgent cup awaits, combining notes of honey, nuts, and cane sugar.
- The Vanilla Fudge by Lugat is a specialty coffee. These 100% Arabica coffee beans feature a distinctly indulgent profile, created through an experimental co-fermentation process. In the cup, “Vanilla Fudge” reveals natural notes of vanilla, milk chocolate, and nougat for a smooth and original experience.
- Flor de Oro by 1895 Coffee Designers by Lavazza invites you on a tasting journey to the heart of Colombia. This single-origin, 100% Arabica coffee, crafted by Diego Bermudez and medium roasted, is ideal for espresso, moka, or filter brewing. Both floral and indulgent, it highlights notes of honey, gentle spices, and cranberry, enhanced by an innovative fermentation process.
The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
