This strip allows you to measure the quality of your water, i.e. whether your water is more or less hard.
It is essential to know how hard the water is that you are going to use every day in your coffee machine. This will enable you to know whether your water contains more or less limescale. This will impact the lifespan of your filter and therefore of your coffee machine.
Before using your machine for the first time, it is best to test the water in your network, i.e. the water that comes out of your tap. You will then know the hardness of your water and you can enter the result in the machine settings.
The harder your water, the more frequently you will need to change the cartridge and descale the machine.
The machine will then adjust the descaling cycle accordingly and tell you when to change your filter coffee.
