What Marco, Coffee Roaster at Cafés Lugat, Has to Say:
roaster review

Marco likes:

The coffee's strong body with its notes of cereals. This coffee offers a strong first impression in the mouth with spicy notes and Speculoos flavours. You will enjoy a beautiful mouthfeel with final notes of toasted bread.

The Story of Cafés Lugat:

Lionel Lugat is the legendary roaster at MaxiCoffee . Over the years, he has surrounded himself with an expert team of roasters.

This coffee specialist , judge in the French Coffee Championships and expert columnist for our coffee company tells the story of Cafés Lugat and his passion for coffee roasting below.

More About Our Coffee:

The water decaffeination method is a natural process that does not involve any chemicals. This method gives the coffee organoleptic characteristics that can satisfy even the most exacting palates, as it keeps all the complexity and body of a traditional coffee.

The principle behind water decaffeination is simple. The green coffee beans are submerged in water that contains the same aromatic components as those of the coffee beans, except caffeine.

Through osmosis , and under particular temperatures and pressures, the water bath balances out. So, 50% of the caffeine transfers to the water and 50% remains in the coffee bean. This process is then repeated up to 10 times to reduce the caffeine content of the bean to a minimum, between 0.01% and 0.02%.
