A beautifully fruity infusion with gentle notes of hibiscus, strawberry and raspberry. George Cannon’s Romance infusion can be enjoyed both hot or iced, making it perfect for refreshing summer afternoons as well as cosy moments indoors. Naturally caffeine-free, it is suitable for everyone, including children, and makes a delicious alternative to overly sweet fizzy drinks. Strawberry and raspberry bring a delightful touch of indulgence that is sure to please young and old alike.
For a hot infusion, heat water to 95–100°C (remove just before boiling), add 2 g to a tea infuser and leave to brew for 5 minutes. Simply sit back and enjoy. For an iced version, infuse overnight in water at room temperature, then place in the fridge.
Ingredients: South African rooibos, natural vanilla, bergamot and jasmine flavourings, lavender.
The history of the George Cannon Tea House began in 1898 when George Cannon, a British citizen, married a French woman and subsequently created an eponymous tea trading company in Paris.
In 1970, André Scala bought the company. In 1978, his son joined him at the helm. It was his son who quickly realised that further growth of the company could be achieved by venturing into the flavoured teas market, and as a result he persuaded his father to invest in the area. It was the start of a successful era.
Unknown to the general public for a long time, the tea house succeeded in developing a unique style and today boasts more than 500 original high quality teas as well as a range of scented teas.
