The story of Delta Cafés

In 1961, Rui Nabeiro decided to create his own coffee brand. Knowing the coffee market and entrepreneur by nature, he started the business with only two roasting balls of 30 kg capacity each, in a small warehouse of 50 square meters, in the village of Campo Maior in Alentejo (south of Portugal).

Today, there are more than 180 professions at Delta Cafés and the roasting department has more than 2100 employees.

Delta Cafés is also a policy of citizenship, the company has initiated a project of sustained development with the objective of benefiting the coffee producing regions with better environmental, social and economic conditions.

This project aims, on the one hand, to develop the production of quality coffee and, on the other hand, to guarantee a healthy, responsible and sustained industry, thus promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life of the traditional populations while respecting their culture.
