Here's what's new and improved with the C40 MK4:
- Redesigned grinder body support to prevent coffee beans from getting trapped.

- Two grounds containers included: one made of clear polymer and one of tinted glass. Both are heat-resistant and can also be used as drinking cups.

Premium burrs for precise and consistent grinding
The hardened steel burrs of the Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade feature a carefully engineered geometry and structure. Their efficiency is remarkable, and the mechanism delivers an impressively consistent grind.
The hardened steel used is a special alloy with a high nitrogen content (patented by Comandante), which gives the grinder its name: Nitro Blade. This material is particularly challenging to manufacture, but it ensures exceptional burr durability and outstanding resistance to wear.
The Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade manual coffee grinder is extremely versatile, allowing you to grind coffee from ultra-fine settings (for Turkish coffee), to fine settings (for moka pots), and all the way to coarser grinds (for French press coffee makers).
Settings and additional features
The
grind adjustment system is located at the bottom of the coffee grinder. Simply
turn the three-pointed adjustment star clockwise to achieve a finer grind, or
counterclockwise for a coarser grind. Once you hear the click, your preferred
setting is securely locked in place.
The two
included containers allow you to easily transfer the ground coffee from the
grinder to your portafilter or store the grounds for later use. A lid is also
provided for convenient storage.
Each
container can hold up to 40g of ground coffee (approximately 4–5 cups of
coffee).
The wood
used for the crank handle knob is sourced from Black Forest oak.
The body
of the Comandante C40 Nitro Blade coffee grinder in the American Cherry version
is made from stainless steel with a refined wood veneer finish.
The
Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade is a perfect blend of advanced technology and
traditional craftsmanship.
In
addition, both the brand and the burrs are covered by a lifetime warranty
(excluding damage or issues caused by improper use or user error).
This
coffee grinder is also BPA-free and contains no other bisphenols.

Comandante
The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
