Cafés Lugat's El Maya pure origin ground coffee comes from the Solola region of Atitlan, Guatemala. The Finca Santo Tomas Perdido farm, at an altitude of between 950 and 1600 m, is the source of this coffee, washed to produce rich and fruity notes of brown sugar, hazelnut and apple. A light roast Arabica coffee, perfect for enhancing your coffee moments and indulging in all types of brewing methods. Available in 250g packs.

Cafés Lugat coffees are renowned for their freshness of roast, guaranteeing a cup rich in flavour, whatever format you choose. This practical packaging means you can enjoy your coffee with little stock to start with, while savouring an exceptional coffee experience.
The Finca Santo Tomas Perdidofarm, located in the Solola region of Atitlan, Guatemala, grows coffee at altitudes ranging from 950 to 1600 metres. This high altitude favours the ripening of the coffee cherries, guaranteeing intense, rich flavours. Made from 100% Arabica coffee, this coffee includes the Caturra, Catimor, Obata and Sarchimor varieties, offering a truly exceptional taste experience.
By opting for a light roast that respects the terroir of this pure origin coffee, the brand wanted you to discover the rich and fruity notes of this Arabica coffee. Using a pour-over brewing method, you'll find sweet notes (brown sugar), balanced by a light body reminiscent of apple juice. Finally, this coffee finishes with notes of nuts (hazelnuts) for an unforgettable experience.

Through their range of coffee beans, ground coffees and Nespresso® compatible capsules, their mission is to bring you the unique flavour and aromas from the world's best coffee-producing areas!
Their passion for coffee has even won them awards. Marco, the brand's head roaster, was awarded the French Barista Championship title at the 2017 French Championships.
Lugat
The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
