More about the Fapecafes cooperative

The 1200 small producers of FAPECAFES have revolutionised coffee growing in their region. Agro-ecological practices combined with meticulous work on quality during and after the harvest have enabled them to restore the prestige of their land. Through fair trade, they find a remunerative outlet, much higher than that of the coffees from this western slope of the Andes. This is a source of pride for these producers and for their cooperative, which has become a reference in Ecuador.

Café Michel

Café Michel

Café Michel was founded in Southwest France (Pessac). It was the first French coffee-roaster to develop organic fair trade coffees in specialist stores. Café Michel is also active in the chocolate, tea and organic fair trade sugar sectors. In 2016, Café Michel's café Congo-Colombie was awarded 1st prize for the Best Espresso Mix in France by the Comité Français du Café (French Coffee Committee).
