Richard Sapper is a famous German designer who was born in 1932 before choosing Italy as his adopted country in 1958. Made famous by products created in partnership with leading Italian brands such as Brionvega and La Rinascente, he has won no fewer than ten Compasso d'Oro awards. This is one of the world's oldest and most influential international product design awards.
