The Acaia Pearl S precision coffee scale features a range of brewing modes to suit your preferred preparation method, including Timer Mode, Auto Tare Mode, Espresso Mode, Portafilter Mode, and more.
Its triple LED display provides real-time information such as weight, brewing time, and flow rate, depending on the selected mode. Flow rate monitoring helps you refine your pouring technique for greater consistency and improved extraction.
The display brightness has been optimised for excellent readability, even in bright outdoor conditions.
The Pearl S also offers a range of customisation options through the companion app, including personalised sound and voice notifications, allowing you to receive audible updates on weight and elapsed brewing time.
Brewing Modes of the Acaia Pearl S
Mode 1 – Weighing Mode: Displays weight only.
Mode 2 – Timer Mode: Displays the weight while activating the built-in timer.
Mode 3 – Auto-Start Mode: Automatically starts the timer when brewing begins.
Mode 4 – Portafilter Mode: Automatically tares the portafilter, allowing you to grind directly into it and monitor the coffee dose. The tare resets after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Mode 5 – Espresso Mode: Automatically tares the cup and starts the timer as soon as espresso begins to flow.
Mode 6 – Flow Rate Mode: Displays both the weight and the real-time flow rate while the timer runs.
Mode 7 – Brewguide Mode: When paired with the Brewguide app (iOS and Android), the scale provides step-by-step brewing guidance for consistently professional results.
Mode 8 – Countdown Mode: Features a built-in countdown timer for greater control over your brewing routine.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
