Terra Etica has chosen a coffee from the Marcala area, grown by the COMSA cooperative. Grown at an altitude of between 1000 and 1500 metres, this quality Arabica coffee is certified organic and fair trade. Strong, it reveals aromas of roasted almonds and dark chocolate, perfect for enjoying as a filter coffee at lunchtime or as an espresso at the end of a meal, thanks to a medium roast made in France.

Available in a 1kg format, this coffee is perfect for building up a generous reserve, ensuring carefree coffee breaks, or sharing delicious moments with friends and family.

The coffee growers of Marcala, Honduras, heirs to the Lenca people, maintain traditional farming practices despite the loss of their language. The COMSA cooperative is an advanced organic production model, influencing organic coffee-growing on a national scale. Located at an altitude of between 1,300 and 1,500 metres, Marcala was able to adapt to the Rust crisis of 2012-2013 by growing more resistant varieties of coffee, such as Typica. Thanks to their expertise, Marcala now produces one of the best coffees in the world, protected by a PDO, and uses organic and biodynamic practices. COMSA is constantly innovating and passing on its knowledge through the La Fortaleza centre, where it trains producers in natural composting and fertilisation techniques. With the support of 25 agronomists, yields and the quality of the beans continue to increase, surpassing national averages.
