The Traditional Panettone Recipe by Galup

Indulge your sweet tooth with this original recipe for traditional Gran Galup panettone with fresh, top-quality sultana candied fruit. Topped with "Tonda Gentile Trilobata" Italian hazelnut icing, enriched with whole almonds and caster sugar.

A new Galup, which foregoes the addition of emulsifiers and their preservative properties to give life to a recipe that celebrates the artisan history of its origins. A fresh panettone that makes the most of the raw materials and the naturally leavened dough flavour, to be enjoyed immediately as it lacks the ingredients that ensure its long shelf life.

An elegant panettone in its simplicity, made only with sultanas and candied citrus fruits, according to the old recipe. An iconic recipe!


Storage instructions
: store in a cool, dry place at a maximum temperature of 18-20°C. Keep away from sunlight and heat sources.

Ingredients: wheat flour – Sultanas 15% – Butter (milk) – Sugar – Candied orange peel 7% (Orange peel – Glucose-fructose syrup – Sucrose – Concentrated lemon juice) – Class A egg yolk from free-range hens – Natural yeast (wheat flour – Water) – Candied lime zest 4% (Lime zest – Glucose-fructose syrup – Sucrose – Concentrated lemon juice), Emulsifiers: fatty acid mono- and diglycerides – whole milk powder – invert sugar syrup – salt – honey – glucose-fructose syrup – barley malt extract – natural flavouring – natural Bourbon vanilla flavouring.

Icing ingredients (12%): Sugar – Class A egg white from free-range hens – ‘Nocciola Piemonte IGP’ (Piedmont hazelnut) 9% – Rice flour – Rice starch – Icing sugar (sugar – wheat starch) – Sunflower oil – Natural flavourings.

May contain other nuts, mustard and soya.
