What if you rethought your coffee and the machine you use? Coffee is no exception to the vital issue
of environmental preservation. However, small gestures can make all the difference, even when you enjoy your favorite drink. We'll explain.
When it comes to coffee, choose coffee beans. It is by far the most environmentally friendly, compared to "portioned" coffee.
Once your coffee is ground, you can also reuse your coffee grounds by composting them or by giving them a second life as a household or cosmetic product.
Finally, pay attention to the freshness of the beans. At MaxiCoffee, we roast our own brand coffees on demand: no waste!
Certifications also have their importance. Fair trade and organic labels are the best known, but there are more specific certifications. The Fairtrade/Max Havelaar label is a fair trade label: it ensures that products are grown, processed and marketed according to precise standards. The certification that you will probably see the most remains the AB mark. It identifies products that are 100% organic (or, for processed products, contain at least 95% organic agricultural products). From harvesting to roasting to exporting, organic coffee is grown without synthetic chemicals and cannot come into contact with other non-organic coffees.
