El Roble coffee beans are designed for gentle extraction. It will reveal to perfection the gourmet flavours of vanilla and caramel. From the very first sip, it has a subtle caramelised attack, followed by notes of fresh almond with a smooth body. The final note of vanilla sublimates the end of the tasting.

The farm:

Nestled in the Peruvian mountains, the production areas of the COCLA cooperative range from 800 to 2000 metres in altitude. The COCLA cooperative is located near Machu Pichu and benefits from a climate that is favourable to coffee growing. Indeed, the humidity and heat of this subtropical zone allow the coffee cherries to mature slowly, in order to offer you a result in a cup with a beautiful sweetness.

The famer:

Coffee growing is a widespread activity in Peru. It provides a living for more than a hundred thousand families. The country exports 90% of its production, which places Peru in 8th place in terms of world production. Most coffee growers are small producers, cultivating their coffee on properties of less than 2 hectares. This is why they organise themselves into cooperatives in order to facilitate the drying stage of the coffee and the export of the harvest. COCLA perfectly embodies the Peruvian coffee culture: fair trade and responsible and organic production.
