Oigen is one of the oldest manufacturers of traditional cast iron teapots in Japan: it was founded in 1852 at the end of the Edo period.
All Oigen products are made by craftspeople in their foundry in Japan. The president of Oigen describes their ironware as "made with appreciation for our customers, traditions, history, and food. Above all, it is made to bring joy".
