Lipton

Sir Thomas Lipton came from Glasgow and revolutionised the future of tea. In 1890, he bought 2250 hectares of plantation in Dambatenne in the Ceylon heights, and then reorganised it to increase production. He then founded a tea packaging company and was the first to print tea bags indicating the tea infusions, to make tea accessible to everyone, not just for the elite.
Lipton tea leaves are Rainforest Alliance certified, supporting small farmers as well as sustainable growth.
