The grinder is undeniably robust and well-designed. Entirely stainless steel apart from the plastic collection base which is a little light. The resulting grind seems homogeneous and gives good results, after several adjustments however (I just haven't tested it for a coarser "slow coffee" grind). One detail, the top of the filling hopper remains open, this speeds up loading, but it happens that a shard is ejected when using it. Nothing too annoying. The thumb lock is a little extra, not necessarily the most ergonomic but everyone will find a way to use it. Overall I am really happy with it.

Wow. The mechanism is impressively smooth. The arm offers good gearing, which reduces grinding time accordingly, for a very reasonable effort. Beautiful and solid.

I was looking for a portable grinder capable of making a non-pressurized espresso grind. After 3 weeks of use, it has simply replaced my electric grinders in my daily routine (at home too!). Mainly used for espresso, the grind is sufficiently fine, precise and homogeneous. The result is even more h...read moreomogeneous than with my electric grinder (conical burrs, comparable price range). The bottomless test is clear: it's easy, clean and repeatable (be careful that it takes practice anyway). Timing-wise, it depends, but generally, I count /-3 sec per gram in espresso grinding and /- 1 sec per gram in slow grinding. In terms of adjustment: 1.5 to 2 turns of the dial are enough to change from slow to express grinding and vice versa. This means you can change styles quickly and easily. On the other hand, you have to be very precise to find the ideal setting (especially for espresso). In terms of finish and solidity, it's impeccable. Only the recycled plastic base looks a bit cheaper, but it doesn't hinder its use. Very subjectively, the pleasure of grinding your coffee while hearing the sound of the beans breaking adds a dimension to the ritual! In summary, I am delighted with this product and I recommend it to those who, like me, make 1 to 4 coffees per day, including non-pressurized espresso.
