Why are they called fried? The name refers to their small fish shape. The little fish were often fried in boiling oil and eaten at Easter time. The name "fritures de chocolat" therefore refers to the little fish-shaped chocolates that are eaten at this time of year, and which you can find in our charming catalogue of chocolate gifts.
