250g Specialty Coffee Beans - La Colina - THE BARN

The Perfect Balance Between Sweetness and Acidity

These coffee beans are a Grand Cru from Guatemala. The cup is balanced with a pronounced sweetness and subtle acidity.

It is a blend of two varieties: Caturra and Bourbon. Its washed process gives it its complex, intense notes. Discover notes of milk chocolate, citrus fruits and macadamia nuts. A surprising result, but one that blends perfectly.

Find out more about the farm where this coffee comes from. Located in San Martin Jilotepeque in the Chimaltenango region of Guatemala, it is run by Antonio Medina. He is the third generation of his family to farm this land, and planted the first coffee tree in 1991.

After expanding his crops, he built his own infrastructure for the process, prioritising quality over quantity. In fact, he got top marks in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence competition!

The coffee from this farm benefits from the advantages of its environment: vegetation and fresh water for irrigation. Only a quarter of his farm is used for coffee, and he is keen to preserve a large part of the native forest.
