Precisely Controlled Extraction
The Hario SSD-200-B dripper gives you full control over your coffee extraction. Unlike traditional drippers that rely on grind size to regulate flow, this model features a sealed base that holds the coffee, allowing unique aromas and bitterness to develop. When your preferred extraction time is reached, simply press the side switch to release the drip straight into your cup, delivering a personalised brew every time.
Master Your Brewing with the Hario Switch 02
Position the dripper on your cup, insert the filter, press the tab, and pour water heated to around 93°C, depending on your coffee variety. This initial step moistens the grounds, rinses the filter, and warms your vessel to prevent temperature loss. After discarding the rinse water, lift the tab to the open position. Add 20 grams of coffee to the filter and pour 240ml of water in a circular motion. After 30 seconds, gently stir the surface with a teaspoon to fully saturate the grounds and create a light foam. Adjust the total extraction time to suit your preference, aiming for approximately two minutes. When ready, press the switch to release the coffee and savour your brew.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.

Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
