The Fellow Stagg X Dripper delivers a richly aromatic filtered coffee through a slow coffee brewing process that ensures optimal extraction. Crafted from stainless steel, its internal design prevents clogging, allowing for a smooth and consistent filtration. To get started, the dripper comes with 15 specially sized X paper filters. It pairs perfectly with the Fellow double-walled glass and the Carter insulated mugs, making it an ideal choice for brewing up to two cups of coffee with precision and style.
Using the Fellow Stagg X dripper: simple steps for perfect coffee every time
The Stagg X operates like a traditional dripper but stands out with its unique shape and double-walled stainless steel construction, ensuring superior heat retention and a more even extraction. Included is a small receptacle to rest the dripper after brewing, keeping your workspace tidy. This base features handy ratio markings to assist with precise coffee measurements. Simply heat 300 ml of water to 91-93 °C and prepare 20 g of medium-ground coffee, using the receptacle’s indicator to gauge the amount. Position the dripper over your cup or carafe, insert a paper filter, and rinse it with hot water. Add your coffee grounds and gently level them. Begin pouring hot water in the centre, moving outward, starting with about 40 g—twice the coffee weight—and allow 30 seconds for blooming. Continue pouring in a steady circular motion over 2.5 to 3 minutes until the coffee reaches the marked level. Finally, place the dripper on the receptacle to catch any drips and savour your freshly brewed coffee.
Usage Tips
You can place the dripper in the top rack of your dishwasher.
The dripper is to be used with X filters (15 are provided to start).
It is recommended to use a kettle with adjustable temperature to respect all the aromas of freshly ground coffee beans.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
