The Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade features precision-engineered hardened steel burrs, designed with an advanced geometry to deliver exceptional grinding performance. Their outstanding efficiency ensures a remarkably uniform grind with every use.
Made from a unique high-nitrogen hardened steel alloy developed and patented by Comandante, these burrs provide exceptional strength and long-lasting durability. This innovative material is complex to manufacture but offers outstanding resistance to wear, ensuring reliable performance over time.
Highly versatile, the Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade manual grinder allows you to achieve a wide range of grind sizes, from ultra-fine settings for Turkish coffee, to fine grinds for moka pots, and coarser settings for French press brewing.
Grind settings and other features
The grind adjustment mechanism is conveniently located on the base of the grinder. Turn the three-point adjustment knob clockwise to obtain a finer grind, or counterclockwise for a coarser setting. Each click provides a precise adjustment, allowing you to easily lock in your preferred grind size.
The Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade comes with two practical containers, allowing you to transfer your freshly ground coffee directly into your portafilter or store it for later use. A dedicated lid is also included for convenient coffee storage.
Each container holds up to 40g of ground coffee, equivalent to approximately 4 to 5 cups of coffee.
The crank handle knob is crafted from oak wood sourced from the Black Forest, adding a touch of natural elegance to the grinder’s design.
The American Cherry version features a stainless-steel body finished with a refined wooden coating, combining durability with timeless aesthetics.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
