Discover the Farm Producing this Exceptional Coffee
Gonzalo Batista, more commonly known as Don Chalo, owns a farm situated at an altitude of 1850 metres in the Jurutungo valley, and grows Geisha and Caturra varieties over an area of 10 hectares.
Surrounded by mountains and pastures, his finca enjoys a cool climate and rich soils, ideal for coffee growing. After discovering flourishing coffee plants on his plantation, he decided to grow coffee, with excellent results.
He produces his coffee with his wife and their children, and has it prepared in the Baru Black Mountain factory.
Brewing Coffee the Right Way!
It's essential to pay as much attention to the extraction method as to the choice of coffee itself. The method used has a considerable influence on the final result, affecting body, persistence in the mouth and even flavour! At Cafés Lugat, we recommend that you choose this coffee for Filter, Cafetiere or Chemex brewing methods.
