To bring you these coffee beans from Brazil's Cerrado Mineiro, Cafés Lugat has worked with Inácio Carlos Urban, the owner of plantations in the heart of the Cerrado Mineiro region. His farms grow prestigious varieties such as Mundo Nuovo and Yellow Catuaí, planted at an altitude of 1150m. These exceptional varieties make up this unique terroir coffee. In this privileged environment of sun-drenched hills and plateaux, the coffee cherries ripen slowly until they are perfectly ripe. They are then carefully treated using a natural process that guarantees batches of impeccable quality.

This coffee has a perfectly balanced cup: a mild attack with hints of almond, a generous body reminiscent of milk chocolate, and a delicate finish with hints of brown sugar.

Minas Gerais, Brazil's main coffee-growing region, accounts for 50% of national production. Nestling in the heart of the Cerrado Mineiro micro-region,Inácio Carlos Urban's plantation stands out for its exceptional coffees, including the famous “frutado” coffee, appreciated for its unique aromas and rich flavour.

The Fazenda Rio Brilhante, a vast 2,600 hectare estate, has become a benchmark for quality and traceability. Each coffee cherry is carefully sorted, dried in the generous sunshine and then in mechanical dryers to achieve a perfect humidity of 11%. This precise process guarantees a premium coffee that is exported all over the world.

Innovative and committed to sustainable agriculture, the Fazenda uses the eggs of lacewings, natural predators of parasites, to limit the use of chemicals. This ecological method reflects a new model of cultivation, combining respect for the environment with high-quality production.
