Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019), a renowned Milanese designer and architect, collaborated with prestigious brands such as Philips, Swarovski, Swatch, and Bisazza. Honoured with the Compasso d'Oro, his notable works include the Groninger Museum, the Casino in Arosa, and the Forum in Omegna. This 6-cup Moka espresso maker pays homage to the classic Italian coffee maker invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti, the grandfather of Alberto Alessi. Mendini’s design elegantly celebrates the heritage of the Italian moka pot and the rich tradition of Italian coffee culture.
Alessi, founded in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi, has long been at the forefront of innovative and inspired product design and boasts a wide range of products, from the iconic whistle kettle to the designer fly swatter.
The company founded a dynasty not only with products for the general public - including service trays and cutlery for everyday use - but also by creating some of the most famous cult objects of our time.
The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
