In 1961, Rui Nabeiro decided to create his own coffee brand. A connoisseur of the coffee market and an entrepreneur by nature, he started the business with only two roasting balls of 30 kg capacity each, in a small 50 square metre warehouse in the village of Campo Maior in Alentejo (southern Portugal).

 

Today, there are more than 180 different professions at Delta Cafés and the roasting department has more than 2,100 employees.

 

Delta Cafés is also a policy of citizenship, the company has initiated a project of sustained development with the objective of making the coffee producing regions benefit from better environmental, social and economic conditions.

 

This project aims, on the one hand, to develop the production of quality coffee and, on the other hand, to guarantee a healthy, responsible and sustained industry, thus promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life of the traditional populations while respecting their culture.
