Very good product. Meets my expectations. It is true that the ground coffee that falls on it sticks a little, but with daily cleaning, the mat does its job perfectly.

Allows you to tamp your grind without having to strain to hold the filter holder, and helps to be stable for a homogeneous / even tamping. The slots for the distributor and the tamper help to avoid putting grinds around and keep the work surface tidy. Not completely essential I think (especially if ...read moreyou use pressurized filters since they do not have to be tamp) but "comfortable" I would say.
