"Don Olman" coffee beans from the Dipilto region of Nicaragua. This washed (70%) and natural (30%) coffee is a blend of Arabica beans from the San Salvador farm run by the Valladarez family. It has been sourced and freshly roasted by the Cafés Lugat roasting team. For a balanced coffee with sweet notes of cocoa & red berries. Specialty coffee. Perfect for an espresso. 250g pack.
History of the Valladarez family:
Luis Valladarez, founder of the farm, started his business by buying a small farm called Buenos Aires before buying two other farms: La Laguna and El Suyatal.
Initially, all his crops were sold as cherries until the construction, a few years ago, of hisown processing plant: Cafetalera Buenos Aires. The aim is to control as the production and export of these coffees, as much as possible.
In 2004, Luis Emilio's second son, Olman, joined his father and brother to manage and run the family farms.
Becoming an expert in mono-variety processes and coffees, in 2005 he began to introduce many micro lots from his farms to the Nicaragua Cup of Excellence competition, obtaining very good results!
